Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zalina is the Head of the Sustainable Design Research Group at the Faculty of Design and Architecture, UPM. 

 Her research interests include:
  1. Sustainable/green/energy-efficient/tropical/bioclimatic/passive building design
  2. Sustainable/green assessments and rating tools
  3. Building performance evaluation and post-occupancy evaluation
  4. Sustainable/green community design
  5. Education for sustainability
